The Meliora Tree Yoga Retreat 2022

I am so excited to be holding the very first Meliora Tree Yoga Retreat on the 12th-18th of September 2022.

Here's what to expect:

Accommodation

You'll be staying at the blissfully peaceful, beautiful and eco-friendly Chez Devalon in the heart of the Dordogne. 

This eight acre plot is the perfect place to spend a week away from it all.

Accommodation is provided within their luxury hand built willow yurts or within the beautiful Gite attached to the main farm house. 

This is glamping to the max, the yurts come with their own personal kitchen, beautiful wooden composting toilets and solar heated showers that pack a punch.

You'll also find a swimming pool, plunge pool, fire pit and large veg garden among many other things to discover.

I've spent many times here over the past 10 years and there's a reason we call it 'the island', you really don't need to leave.

Food

The resident chef will be providing you with a delicious but healthy breakfast, 2 course Lunch and Dinner, and Afternoon tea. (Snack bar, tea and coffee available at all times).

A picnic lunch will be provided one of the days, as we will be taking a day out to a beautiful spot to practice yoga.

All food included except one Lunch and one Dinner. We will help book restaurants for you on these days or you can bring your own food and cook yourself if you wish, but it's a great way to get out and experience the area.

Yoga and Meditation

There will be a minimum of 3 optional classes/sessions of Yoga/Meditation each day.

Early Morning Class before breakfast - Slow and Stretchy, but Energising Wake up Flows

Late Afternoon/ Early Evening Class - Dynamic, Power, Free Movement Flows, Asana Workshops

Before Bedtime - Restorative, Yin, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Sound baths

Workshops

Two Workshops will be held during the week

• An aromatherapy workshop, discovering the uses for different oils and how to blend oils for different uses. You'll get the chance to make your own oil blend for massage or bath purposes and also learn how to make salves at home.
• Second workshop to be confirmed.

Extras

As a qualified massage therapist a range of massage therapies will be available to book throughout the week for an extra cost. Choosing from a range of techniques and styles you will be able to book Full body massages, head/neck/shoulder massages, aromatherapy and reflexology sessions.

Chakra Sessions are also available to book, where we discover which of your chakras need work, and use aromatherapy, reflexology, crystal and sound work to open, balance and cleanse into the chakras.

Other available therapies with outside therapists are yet to be confirmed.

All yoga equipment will be included and purchased brand new for the event, you will be allocated your own equipment for the duration of the event. All equipment will be from my favourite yoga equipment and small business ekotex in edinburgh.

A goodie bag will be given to each attendee, with items that will come in handy over the week and some keepsakes to remember your time with us.

Not Included

Travel - Depending where you are coming from in the UK, you can fly to either Bordeaux or Paris (CDG airport is recommended.)

From Bordeaux you can rent a car to take the 2 hour drive to the farm (this will give you a little more freedom on your spare time) or a transfer can be organised for you. Return flights start from £89.

From Paris CDG you can take a train direct from the airport to Angouleme. Where a transfer will be arranged for you to the farm or if you prefer to have your own transport you can also rent a car in Angouleme. Return flights start from £67. Return train tickets starting from £35.

Alcoholic beverages are not included in the price but wine and beer can be ordered for you at a good price.

Here is an example of what a typical day will look like:

Pricing

The early bird tickets which will run until March 30th cost £735

(This works out as £122.50 per day for your shared accommodation, food, all classes and workshops.)

You can pay the full amount directly or...

You can secure your space by paying the early bird 'save my space' deposit of £100, the full amount must be paid by June 30th 2022, you can pay in monthly insallments.  Calculated by the amount of time left to pay the full amount. Or you can pay it all in one payment before the final date.

From march 30th the full price will be £785 which can again be paid in full or in installments until the final payment date.

If you wish to have a private room there will be an extra cost of £20 per day, working out at £120 for the 6 nights. This will be added on to the final price of the ticket.

Covid information

We recommend you to have valid travel insurance to cover you incase of any complications.

As we all know, it is impossible to predict what the regulations and guidelines will be in the months ahead but it's highly probable that to be able to travel you will need to have your vaccine passport.

Whatever the guidelines are inregards to hygiene protocols and distancing protocols, they will be strongly adhered too and as previously mentioned, your yoga equipment will be brand new and allocated to you only, for the duration of the event.
